British and World Literature
British and World Literature starts with students reading selections in a loosely organized chronological framework. They analyze the themes, styles, and structures of British and World Literature texts, and make thematic connections among diverse authors, periods, and settings.
Students complete guided and independent writing assignments that refine their analytical skills. They have opportunities for creative expression in projects of their choice. Students also practice test-taking skills for standardized assessments in critical reading and writing.
