Math 1
1st Grade Math builds on foundational math skills through a mix of engaging teacher-led instruction and hands-on independent practice. Students learn through live or video-based lessons featuring virtual manipulatives, demonstrations with physical tools, and even songs to reinforce key concepts. Independent activities allow students to solve problems both online and offline using an activity book.
The course curriculum focuses on numbers and counting, data representation, addition and subtraction, story problems, length, time, shapes, and place value. Students also explore how math connects to the world around them while mastering addition and subtraction facts through 10.
Household materials required: crayons, markers or colored pencils, glue, and round-end safety scissors.
This course is aligned with 1st Grade Math standards.
