Health - Credit Recovery students develop the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions that allow them to stay active, safe, and informed.

The course presents the components of a healthy lifestyle and strategies for making healthy choices. Instructional material introduces students to the concepts of mental, emotional, social, consumer, and physical health.

Students have opportunities to apply their value systems to decisions concerning their own health. They learn about the importance of good nutrition and how to help prevent many prevalent diseases. They also learn basic first aid and CPR skills and develop an awareness of the dangers of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use.

Students develop communication skills in this one semester course that allow them to demonstrate healthy choices with respect for self, family, and others.
