1st Grade Art introduces 1st grade students to the world of art and architecture. Students learn about paintings and sculptures - some that look realistic and others that look imaginary - and learn how artists use lines, shapes, colors, patterns, textures, symmetry, and forms in portrait, landscape, and still life artworks.

Students will discover ancient cave paintings and art from Egypt, Greece, and China as they draw, paint, and sculpt their own creations that are inspired by the artworks they study.

Our customized learning approach crafts a strong foundation of essential skills for elementary school students in grades K–5, nurturing a love of learning and confidence in their capabilities.
