Accounting I is the first semester of a two semester course. The course teaches accounting while placing emphasis on conceptual understanding and financial statement analysis to encourage students to apply accounting concepts to real world situations and make informed business decisions.

Topics include transactions and methods of accounting for both service and merchandising businesses.

Accounting I prepares students for the NOCTI Accounting Basic credential.
