Practicum in Entrepreneurship
Practicum in Entrepreneurship is designed to allow students to gain hands-on experience in clinical operations, problem-solving, and decision-making.
The first semester invites students into the world of healthcare professionals in various settings such as hospitals, clinics and other health facilities.
Students will explore the practical aspects of launching and running a business by researching and analyzing various companies.
Students will simulate the role of entrepreneurs by applying learned concepts to analyze problems and make critical business decisions. By the end of the first semester, students will create a strong business plan that will assist them in their aspirations as entrepreneurs.
In the second semester of the course, students transition from simulations to real-world experiences. Through internships with businesses of their interest, students will gain valuable industry exposure and further their professional skills. They will have an opportunity to work alongside professionals, contribute to business tasks and projects, and develop a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to run a business.
Throughout the second semester, students will build out their professional portfolios. These portfolios will include professional artifacts and anecdotes from hands-on experiences. Students' portfolios will showcase their professional profiles as they further their entrepreneurial endeavors.
