Physical Science – Skills Recovery introduces students to key concepts in chemistry and physics, helping them understand the physical world.

The course provides an overview of matter, atoms, molecules, chemical reactions, motion, force, momentum, work and simple machines, energy, waves, electricity, light, and other fundamental principles of chemistry and physics.

Students study atomic structure, the elements and the Periodic Table, chemical reactions, forces such as gravity, motion, acceleration, and mass, as well as energy topics including light, heat, electricity, and magnetism.

This course is designed to support learners who would benefit from remediation of general skills or strengthen skills in specific areas.
