Modern U.S. History
Modern U.S. History is a full-year course that gives students a clear and organized overview of American history, from the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800s to recent events.
Most readings come from K12’s The American Odyssey: A History of the United States. Online lessons guide students through the material by helping them organize their work, explore topics in more detail, review for assessments, and practice historical thinking and analysis. Students also examine events from multiple perspectives and make connections between past events and the present.
Course activities include analyzing primary sources and maps, completing written assignments, and conducting research.
