World History - Credit Recovery
World History – Credit Recovery explores human history from prehistoric times through the modern era, with a focus on the key developments and events that have shaped civilizations across time.
The course is organized chronologically and, within broad eras, regionally. Lessons examine major developments in religion, philosophy, the arts, science and technology, and political history.
Geography concepts and skills are introduced within the context of the historical narrative. Online lessons and assessments complement World History: Our Human Story, a textbook written and published by K12.
Students analyze primary sources and maps, create timelines, and complete projects while practicing historical thinking and writing skills and exploring the broad themes and big ideas of human history.
This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework.
Diagnostic tests assess students’ current knowledge and generate individualized study plans, allowing students to focus on topics that need review.
