Pre-Algebra - Credit Recovery
Pre-Algebra – Credit Recovery formalizes and extends the mathematics students learned in middle school, while preparing them for a formal Algebra course.
In this course, students deepen their understanding of linear equations and inequalities and learn how they compare to one another. Students are also introduced to systems of equations and inequalities, as well as foundational concepts related to polynomials, their properties, and basic operations. Additional topics include irrational numbers and the Pythagorean Theorem.
This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework.
Students complete short diagnostic assessments at the beginning of the course for groups of related content within each unit. Performance on these assessments determines which content is made available to each student.
