Physical Education - Credit Recovery
Physical Education – Credit Recovery helps students understand the fundamental components and principles of fitness.
The course covers safety guidelines, proper techniques, and exercise principles, including FITT: Frequency (how often you exercise), Intensity (how hard you work), Time (how long you exercise), and Type (what kind of activity you do).
Students learn about the five components of physical fitness: flexibility, cardiovascular health, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and body composition.
They explore the health benefits of various lifetime fitness activities and learn the proper techniques to participate safely.
Students also assess their current stress levels and learn strategies to manage stress effectively.
This one-semester course provides students with the tools to begin, design, and maintain an exercise program for lifelong fitness.
This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework.
Diagnostic tests assess students’ current knowledge and generate individualized study plans, allowing students to focus on topics that need review.
