3rd Grade Music offers a variety of learning activities that include singing, dancing, body percussion, and authentic sound recordings to explore and build foundational musical skills.

The course is organized into six units: Introduction to Musical Creativity, Exploring Musical Performance, Responding to Music, Interdisciplinary Connections, Deepening Understanding Through Context, and Culmination and Synthesis. Students learn about and explore the musical elements: beat, music notes and duration, meter, rhythm, pattern, pitch, solfege, tonality, chords, form, music styles, movement, articulation, dynamics, and tempo. They also dive into vocals, types of sounds, instrument families, classical composers, dance, performance, preference, and how music relates to other areas of learning.

Students read e-books related to music concepts.

Our customized learning approach crafts a strong foundation of essential skills for elementary school students in grades K–5, nurturing a love of learning and confidence in their capabilities.
