Modern U.S. History – Honors is a challenging, full-year course that provides students with a comprehensive view of American history, from the Industrial Revolution of the late 1800s to recent events.

Readings are drawn from K12’s The American Odyssey: A History of the United States. Online lessons help students organize their studies, explore topics in depth, review for assessments, and practice advanced historical thinking and analysis skills.

Course activities include analyzing primary sources and maps, creating timelines, completing projects and written assignments, and conducting independent research. Students complete independent honors projects each semester.
