6th Grade Earth Science
6th Grade Earth Science builds on students’ natural curiosity about the world around them. By exploring geological history, fascinating landforms, the oceans and atmosphere, and recent discoveries about the universe, the course helps students connect science to their everyday lives.
Students investigate topics such as geology, oceanography, meteorology, and astronomy, including Earth’s minerals and rocks, Earth’s interior, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, continental movement, the fossil record, oceans and atmosphere, and the solar system. Lesson activities encourage students to discover how scientists study and understand our planet.
