Contemporary World Issues
Contemporary World Issues helps students explore and compare the geography, governments, economies, and cultures of countries around the world.
The course emphasizes understanding U.S. civics, politics, economics, and government structures, and then comparing these with systems and practices throughout the international community.
Students apply what they learn about the United States and the world to analyze current events and global issues. Reasoning and research skills are used throughout the course to help students think critically and develop informed opinions.
