American Literature - Honors
American Literature - Honors is a challenging course where students read and analyze works of literature from colonial- to contemporary-era American authors, including poetry, short stories, novels, drama, and nonfiction.
The literary works provide opportunities for text analysis, critical writing, creative projects, and online discussions. Students develop vocabulary skills and refresh their knowledge of grammar, usage, and mechanics in preparation for standardized tests.
Students enrolled in this challenging honors-level course also complete independent projects that deepen their understanding of the themes and ideas covered in the course.
