American History Since 1865
6th Grade American History Since 1865 takes students on a journey through American history from the westward expansion of the late 1800s to the present day. The course integrates topics in geography, civics, and economics to give students a well-rounded understanding of the nation’s development.
Students explore key moments and changes in U.S. history, including:
- The settlement of the American West
- The social, political, and economic impacts of industrialization
- The evolving role of the United States in world affairs from the late 19th century through the Cold War
The course also examines major events and trends from the Cold War era to the first decade of the 21st century, helping students understand how past events shape the world today.
