Elementary School Spanish I
Elementary Spanish I K–2 is aligned with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) standards and provides a fun, interactive introduction to the Spanish language for young learners.
Designed for early learners, the course emphasizes vocabulary acquisition through stories, games, songs, and practice activities. Each unit is based on an authentic story, myth, or legend from Spanish-speaking cultures, giving students an engaging way to explore language and culture while beginning to express themselves using simple words and phrases.
Units focus on building basic Spanish vocabulary and using it in conversational contexts. Topics include greetings, numbers, family terms, colors, school vocabulary, body parts, animals, calendar words, food, and descriptive language.
