Kindergarten Social Studies introduces students to key social studies topics, including family, home, community and culture, geography, chronology, early U.S. history, civics, and basic economics.

Students begin by understanding their place within their family, community, and culture. They learn basic physical geography and how to use maps and globes.

Students explore what history is and how people study the past. They learn about the first peoples of the Americas and the founding of the United States. Students identify U.S. symbols and celebrations, study important historical figures, and examine civic responsibilities. They also begin to explore basic economic concepts.

Our customized learning approach crafts a strong foundation of essential skills for elementary school students in grades K–5, nurturing a love of learning and confidence in their capabilities.
