Geometry - Credit Recovery
Geometry - Credit Recovery combines mathematical reasoning and proof with an extension of students’ algebra skills in geometric contexts.
The course primarily focuses on two-dimensional shapes in the Euclidean plane. Beginning with segments and angles, students develop understanding through problems and proofs involving congruence, similarity, parallel and perpendicular lines, quadrilaterals, and circles.
Later in the course, students explore basic trigonometry concepts and gain an introduction to analytic geometry by developing and using the equation of a circle in the coordinate plane.
This course is designed to support learners who need to revisit essential concepts while still building solid preparation for future coursework.
Diagnostic tests help assess each student’s current knowledge and create individualized study plans, allowing students to focus on the areas where they need the most review.
