Consumer Math
Consumer Math helps students build practical arithmetic skills they can use in everyday life and future careers.
The first semester focuses on occupational topics, including jobs, wages, deductions, taxes, insurance, recreation and spending, and transportation.
In the second semester, students explore personal finances, including checking and savings accounts, loans and credit, automobile expenses, and housing costs.
Narrated slideshows help explain more challenging concepts, and throughout the course, students engage in online discussions with their teacher and classmates to reinforce learning.
