This course is designed specifically for younger students and focuses on building vocabulary through stories, games, songs, and hands-on practice activities. Students are introduced to both the language and the cultures of Chinese-speaking regions in a playful, supportive environment where they can explore meaning and begin expressing themselves with simple words and phrases.

The Elementary Chinese I course is aligned with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) standards.
